Hello, I’m Krista Hehedysh — a Ukrainian contemporary artist based in Paris.

I hold a Master’s degree in Fine Arts and Design, and I grew up in a family of artists — creativity was simply the language of daily life. For me, making art was never a decision; it has always been the way I exist.

For eight years, I ran my own interior design studio in Ukraine and, during that time, I painted mostly for my design projects, creating artworks as part of the spaces I built. I also launched a small fashion brand, and photography quietly shaped the way I observe and frame the world. No matter the medium — spaces, clothes, images, or paint — creativity has been my constant compass.

After moving to Paris in 2023, I returned fully to painting and began creating series of works that reflect my inner states — a visual record of transition, longing, identity, and emotional depth. Each canvas is less a depiction of what I saw, and more of what I felt.
